Venue
Stream 09 will be taking place at the scenic, but basic, Club Med Athenia, located just outside of Athens, Greece. All accommodation, meals and activities will take place in this self-contained resort.

Travel
Flights:
Attendees are responsible for booking and covering the cost of flights to Stream 09.
We recommend you arrive at the resort by 3pm on Thursday October 1st (in time for Orientation) and depart the venue at 3pm on Saturday October 3rd.
The resort is approximately 45 minute’s drive from the airport; please make sure you account for this in your travel plans.
Arrivals:
The Stream Venue is a 45 minute drive from Athens airport. There is a taxi rank outside the airport. Taxis to Stream should cost approximately EUR 60. Please click here to add your name to our taxi pooling forum.

BA Discount
We are delighted to announce that British Airways (BA) will be the Stream 09 travel partner. BA has developed special return (roundtrip) fares and discounts for all Stream 09 attendees and has agreed to allow a free stopover in London in either direction for participants whose travel originates in North America. The discounts apply to Club World (business class); World Traveler Plus (premium economy); and World Traveler (economy) tickets and will be available from August 1 through October 15, 2009 for travel beginning September 20 through October 15, 2009.
If you are travelling from North America :
- WPP employees - must book through a WPP preferred travel agency and should tell the travel agent you are inquiring about the BA Stream Discount.
- Not a WPP employee - can call the CWT onsite travel office at 212-886-3446 and speak to Lynne Greene Brooke or David Green

You will be given a password when you receive your registration confirmation.
Please note: These discounts are only available to registered attendees of Stream 09. As always, the earlier you book the better chance you have of securing the lowest fares. Additional Fees and Taxes will apply.
Roundtrip Economy fares from NYC are as low as $800 and £160 from London.
Accommodation
Everyone registered to attend Stream 09 will have a bedroom for 2 nights (Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd October) at Club Med Athenia. Please note check-in time is 3pm on Thursday 1st October. Participation at Stream 09 includes full board accommodation throughout your stay.
Conditions
Club Med Athenia is opening exclusively for Stream 09; accommodation is only available for these dates. There is no facility to stay before Thursday 1st or after Saturday 3rd October at the resort. If you require accommodation outside of these dates, we recommend the following hotels:

We cannot assume responsibility for damages to attendees, goods or equipment brought by participants to the event- so please be careful with your belongings.
Please remember that attendance at Stream 09 is by invitation only. We cannot accommodate spouses, colleagues, children, friends, siblings or pets.
Food and Drink
Club Med Athenia is an all inclusive club which means all meals and drinks* are included during your stay. On arrival at Club Med you will be given a wristband, this must be worn at all times to ensure you are served snacks, meals and drinks from the bar.
* excludes champagne, VSOP brands, XO spirits and some premium brands which will be available at extra cost.
Breakfast
Breakfast will be served in the Olympia Restaurant from 07:30 until 09:00 on both event days.

Bandwidth
There will be wifi internet available at Club Med Athenia, which will be free to access around the main building.
Voltage in Greece is 220V.
What to Pack
Laptops
We suggest you bring along your laptop to Stream 09. Although Wi-fi will be provided, minimal computing facilities will be available.
Dress Code & Clothing
Suits are out! Casual is in for this event.
Please refer to the weather forecast closer to the event to help you decide what to pack. We recommend you bring a beach/pool towel and sun cream as temperatures can reach 24oC (75oF) in October. The main swimming pool will be open for the duration of the event. A lifeguard will be on duty from 10:00 to 18:00, swimming outside of these hours is at your own risk.
Please also bring something warm for the evenings, particularly for the Midnight Cooking Madness.
If the weather is good, some sporting activities will be available should you wish to use them.
Deliveries
If you wish to send any materials for Stream 09 in advance (gadgets, props, workshop, materials etc) please send them directly to the venue address. These should be delivered no earlier than Monday September 28th. Please label all boxes as follows:

You can download instructions and a shipping label by clicking the 'Deliveries to Stream' attachment at the bottom of the page.
Important: All shipments should be arranged with a courier on a DDP basis, or Delivery Duty Paid, if sent from outside the EU. Shipments that do not have duty pre-paid could be delayed by customs.
Please make sure that your box contains details of who the materials are for inside it – so we know who it belongs to. Please also confirm mailing with us so we can keep track of boxes sent.
