Stream 2012 is being held just outside of Athens. Please see our travel & accommodation page for details on all aspects of travel. The Stream team would recommend you make your travel reservations early.
- Do I know any of the people who are coming?
Most likely. Stream is an international meeting of minds and there will be representatives from the creative and technology industries world over. Once you've registered and logged in, you'll be able to view the current delegate list here. To get a feel for the calibre of attendees at previous Stream events, you can view previous delegate lists by going to participants.
- What do I have to prepare in advance?
Depends on which activities you are planning on taking part in. We encourage you to think about how you may want to get involved – by leading a discussion or workshop, cooking or performing. There are many ways to get involved. We suggest getting in contact with one of the event volunteer directors to get some ideas.
- What do I have to bring?
- What kind of clothing do I need?
Suits are out! Stream thinks smart, but dresses casual. Please see the section on packing for notes on the expected temperature.

All your meals, accommodation and drinks are provided. If you would like to indulge in a premium brand spirit, champagne, VSOP brand or XO spirit at the bar, you will need to make a cash payment. Everything else is provided for.
- Am I sharing a room?
No. Every delegate is provided his/her own room. See the venue section for more details.

- Will there be Internet access?
Yes, and access will be free.
- Will there be office facilities on site?
There will be minimal office and computing facilities on site. In an emergency, please approach a member of the Stream Team, who will be able to assist you.

Prior to the event, please refer to the schedule. Once on site, individual sessions will be assigned a time and location on the Big Boards which can be found in the main bar area.
- How many sessions run simultaneously?
- How many people normally attend a session?
Anywhere from 5 to 100. Sessions can be anything from small intimate groups of specialists, to activities for the whole camp.
- I'm holding a session. How do I know what size room to book?
If you're not sure how many people might attend your session, please speak to the Director of your chosen activity or to a member of the Stream team. They'll be able to help you calculate the best space for you. If in the happy event your session is overwhelmingly popular, there is the possibility of hosting it for a second time. Please speak to the Stream team to arrange.

Sure. There is a beautiful swimming pool on site, as well as tennis courts and various water sport facilities. Stream is an extraordinarily immersive event though. The Stream team would remind you to check your schedule before packing your surfboard.
- What language will be spoken at the event?
The language of Stream is English. You may hear other languages used in private meetings, but if you are speaking to a group, asking a question of a speaker, or making a general enquiry to the team, it should be in English.

We are happy to supply glue, crayons, biros and flipcharts from the Stream stationary cupboard. If you do need to bring any special materials or props for your session/performance, you will need to bring them with you or arrange delivery in advance.
